The referral program attributes a new account and earns commission from its eligible confirmed deposits. The developer program attributes individual paid task requests and earns a share of eligible task credit spent. An account can activate either or both in the dashboard.

Revenue events

The calculation bases are different. A deposit is not a task charge, and an attributed task does not create a referral relationship for the customer.

Compare the rules

Rule Referral program Developer program
Attribution Code or referral link before first confirmed top-up Tag on each creation request
Revenue rate 10% of eligible base deposits 5% of eligible paid task credit
Cap First $100 deposits per referred account No referral-style $10-per-user cap
Customer incentive One-time additional top-up bonus Not a referral bonus
Settlement Daily service balance credit Daily service balance credit

Read the affiliate documentation for exact eligibility and payout rules. Reversals and refunded work can reduce earnings; free tasks and developer-owned requests do not generate developer revenue.

Keep attribution separate from authentication

A referral code cannot authorize API calls. A developer tag cannot spend a customer’s credit without their API key. The tag applies to the request and cannot be permanently configured on an API key.

If your software sends both the header and body form of a developer tag, they must match. Review constructed requests with credentials redacted so attribution does not silently diverge across transports.

Distinguish credited balance from cash payout

Daily settlement credits service balance. Withdrawal still requires approval through a Billing support ticket. Opening the request does not move money or guarantee approval.

Use the developer integration guide for request fields and revenue analysis for reconciling pending totals, settlements, and adjustments rather than estimating earnings from raw task counts.
