Install a downloaded package

If you install from a browser store, follow its installation prompt. For an unpacked extension package, use these steps.

  1. Extract the package

    If the download is a ZIP archive, extract it to a folder you can keep. Locate the folder containing manifest.json.

  2. Open your browser's extensions page

    Use the browser's menu to open Manage extensions. In Chrome, you can also enter chrome://extensions in the address bar.

  3. Load the extension

    Enable Developer mode, select Load unpacked and choose the folder containing manifest.json.

  4. Choose your plan

    Open the popup and select Free plan. Accept the terms and privacy policy to activate it, then keep Solve hCaptcha on. You can also choose I have an API key to connect a paid account.

Already installed?

Keep the extension current using the update method provided with your package or browser store. Your API keys and account credit are managed in the dashboard.

If the extension cannot connect or complete a task, read the extension guide. Include the extension version and any task or request ID when reporting a problem. Keep your password and full API key private.
